It’s Spring and we all know what that means. Time for a little house-cleaning. I wanted to pass along some info and ask a question of you folks.
Posting Three Times a Week
Based on something Darren Rowse mentioned on his ProBlogger site regarding setting goals for the year, I wrote down my list:
- Write one eBook this year (working on it)
- Get my RSS subscriber numbers up to 1000 (coming along nicely)
- Grow my Twitter network to 5000 followers (right on track)
- Grow my Facebook following to 1000 fans (moving along just fine)
- Make $25 ad day from my blog (not quite there, but working on it)
- Write five posts a week for the whole year…
Sometimes you bite off a little more than you can chew. I still hold a full-time job plus I’m host of my own weekly podcast. Somehow, five posts a week just became a little much… at least for now. They were beginning to feel a bit rushed and I want to make sure I give you the best that I can.
So, look for my posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from now on. Blogging is supposed to be fun and I want to keep it that way. Plus, my wife is starting to re-recognize me.
Call for Submissions
Do you have a good idea for a post? Are you a podcaster that also wants to share your knowledge and draw some more listeners in the process?
How about doing a guest post? I’d love to see what you’ve got to say.
Drop me a note at email@example.com with your post idea and a sample or two of your writing style. If I like what I’m seeing then we can work out a schedule for you to submit your work (whether it’s a one-off post, a series or something more on-going).
I’d love to build a community for, not only podcasters but, those who want to help out all the podcasters out there, new and seasoned.
What Do You Want to See Featured in this Blog?
Lastly, I need to hear from you folks. It’s one thing to generate all sorts of information regarding marketing, social media, equipment, driving traffic and whatnot… But what are you looking to get out of this?
Again, drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org or just post something down in the comment section below.
Don’t be shy. I really want to know what questions are on your mind.
I told you my goals for this year. What are yours and how can I help you achieve them?
